Darigold Cottage Cheese, Cheddar and Butter Earn Top Honors at Oregon Dairy Awards

Share

SEATTLE, May 7, 2026 – Seattle-based Darigold, Inc., one of the nation’s largest farmer-owned dairy producers, earned top honors for its cottage cheese, medium cheddar cheese, and traditional butter at the annual Oregon Dairy Industries (ODI) Conference held this month in Salem, Ore.

“To compete successfully in the ODI Product Evaluations, dairy companies have to bring their A-game,” said Dave McVicker, Chief Commercial Officer at Darigold. “Our most valuable assets are the milk coming from our members’ farms and our highly skilled teams that use that milk to make great-tasting dairy products. These awards reflect that commitment and underscore our promise to deliver real dairy, made better.”

ODI Product Evaluation awards are given annually in categories that include fluid milk, butter, cultured products, ice cream, and cheese. Products are submitted by a who’s who of regional dairy producers and must be produced at ODI member production facilities. Each entry is judged blindly by a panel of dairy industry professionals and scored based on USDA quality standards.

“If award-winning dairy sounds good to you, look for Darigold wherever you shop,” said McVicker.

Darigold’s award-winning products, as well as its full line of milk, butter, and sour cream, are widely available at Fred Meyer/QFC, Albertsons, WinCo, Walmart, Costco and other fine retail stores throughout the Western United States.
